Dentures & Removable Prosthetics
Complete dentures, precision partials, and implant-supported overdentures at Dr. Anuj Barolia’s Dental Studio — engineered for a natural fit, secure chewing, and lasting comfort.

Treatment Overview
What is Dentures & Removable Prosthetics?
A denture restores chewing, speech and facial support when teeth are missing. In practice we fabricate three families: complete dentures for full-arch loss, removable partial dentures (acrylic or cast metal framework) when only a few teeth are missing, and implant-supported overdentures when maximum stability is needed. Modern dentures are highly customizable — shade-matched artificial teeth, individual fitting, and precise occlusal adjustment — and with care they comfortably last 5 to 10 years. When only a few teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can drift, making the space harder to clean; a well-fitted partial restores the space and protects the neighbours.
Who is this treatment for?
- Patients with several adjacent missing teeth (removable partial denture)
- Full-arch tooth loss (complete denture)
- Patients who want the stability of implants with the economics of a removable prosthesis (implant-supported overdenture)
- Patients needing quick, non-surgical restoration of chewing and appearance
- Patients whose remaining teeth cannot support a fixed bridge
Key benefits of Dentures & Removable Prosthetics
Evidence-backed oral health, functional chewing, and aesthetic improvements achieved with this procedure.
Restored ability to bite, chew and speak clearly
Protection of remaining teeth from wear and drifting
Facial support — prevents the collapsed, aged look of full tooth loss
Natural shade-matched appearance
Economic compared to full implant rehabilitation
Highly customizable and adjustable over time as gums change
The treatment process
From initial digital diagnostics to your final restoration, here is exactly what happens.
Consultation & Impressions
Jaw arches, bite relationship and soft tissue are recorded; impressions are taken and teeth are shade-matched to your face.
Wax Try-In
A diagnostic wax-up is tried in the mouth so tooth arrangement, colour and lip support are approved before final processing.
Custom Fabrication
The prosthesis is manufactured — acrylic, cast metal framework, or implant-retained — by our clinical team with microscopic fit control.
Fitting & Occlusal Adjustment
The denture is seated, checked against a balanced bite, and adjusted so you can chew comfortably from day one.
Settling Reviews
Follow-up visits over the first weeks fine-tune fit; home care (cleaning twice daily, soaking overnight) is reviewed in detail.
Advanced technology utilized
We employ precision instruments and digital scanning systems to ensure your dentures & removable prosthetics is conducted with safety and microscopic accuracy.
- Digital impression scanning
- Shade-matched prosthetic teeth
- Cast metal frameworks
- Implant-retained overdenture systems
- Precision occlusal verification

Cost depends on the type: acrylic partials are the most economical, cast metal partials are more durable, and implant-supported overdentures are the premium, most stable option. A detailed breakdown with payment plan options is provided at the consultation.
New dentures need a short settling period — mild soreness in the first days is normal and is relieved at quick adjustment visits. Clean dentures every morning and night with a denture brush and denture cleanser, and keep them in water overnight (never in dry conditions — they warp). Ill-fitting or cheap dentures cause sore spots and faster ridge resorption; regular reviews prevent this. For the most secure option, ask about implant-supported overdentures, which eliminate most slippage.
Common clinical alternatives
During your diagnostic consultation, Dr. Barolia evaluates all viable alternative pathways:
Fixed Dental Bridge
A permanent replacement anchored to the two neighbouring teeth — best when few teeth are missing and the neighbours are healthy.
Dental Implants
Individual implants for single or few missing teeth; no removable appliance needed.
Implant-Supported Overdenture
A removable denture locked to 2–4 implants — dramatically better grip than a conventional denture at a lower cost than a full arch.
Frequently asked questions about Dentures & Removable Prosthetics
Q: How long do dentures last?
With consistent care, 5 to 10 years is typical. As the jawbone slowly reshapes, dentures may need relining (a fresh inner fit) — we handle that at regular reviews.
Q: Can I eat normally with dentures?
Yes, though the first days call for soft foods eaten slowly on both sides. Chewing efficiency recovers fully within a few weeks of settling.
Q: What is the difference between an overdenture and a regular denture?
A conventional denture rests on the gums and can slip; an overdenture is retained by implants (usually 2–4), which locks it in place, protects the bone, and makes eating and speaking far more natural.
Q: Do dentures affect speech?
Most patients adjust within a few days. The first week may feel odd when speaking — practice with new words and read out loud; it resolves quickly.
