Porcelain Veneers & Laminates
Ultra-thin, custom-sculpted ceramic shells bonded to the front of teeth to correct discoloration, gaps, and chips.

Treatment Overview
What is Porcelain Veneers & Laminates?
Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin, hand-finished ceramic laminates (0.3mm to 0.7mm thick) adhesively bonded to the anterior tooth surface. Engineered from lithium disilicate (E.max) or feldspathic porcelain, veneers deliver unmatched lifelike luminescence and high stain resistance.
Who is this treatment for?
- Permanent intrinsic tooth staining (tetracycline stains, fluorosis)
- Worn, chipped, uneven, or peg-shaped lateral teeth
- Small diastemas (gaps) between front teeth
- Slightly rotated teeth where orthodontics is not desired

Veneers are irreversible once enamel is reduced. Patients with nocturnal bruxism (clenching) must wear a custom nightguard to protect porcelain edges.
Common clinical alternatives
During your diagnostic consultation, Dr. Barolia evaluates all viable alternative pathways:
Composite Resin Veneers
Direct sculpted resin at lower cost, though prone to staining and chipping over 3–5 years.
Full Zirconia Crowns
Recommended when significant tooth structure is missing or after root canal treatment.
Frequently asked questions about Porcelain Veneers & Laminates
Q: Do veneers ruin your natural teeth?
No. Modern porcelain veneers require only conservative micro-preparation (approx. 0.3mm to 0.5mm) of the outermost enamel layer, preserving the underlying tooth structure.
